On November 6 – 7, 2018, Dr. Hayek attended the first Air Products Industrial Gases Technology Symposium held in the Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV) Science Park, Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The venue drew large participation from industry and academia focused on collaboration. The Symposium received an excellent response with over 200 participants from industry and academia.
A panel discussion on the role of hydrogen in the future energy economy provided insights from a distinguished panel of experts including: Saudi Aramco’s Chief Technology Officer Mr. Ahmad O. Al Khowaiter; Prof. Omar Yaghi, the world leading expert in metal-organic framework (MOF) development from Caltech in the United States; and Mike Sicinski, Executive Director for IGCC Gasification/Power JV‒Jazan.
